Welcome to the Official Website of the Town of Dannemora, New York! We are committed to bringing you up-to-date and relevant information on town services and how we are working to improve our community.

The Town of Dannemora is seeking a part-time Custodial Worker.  Must be available to work flexible hours including days and evenings.  Interested candidates must submit an application by December 16, 2009 to the Town of Dannemora, Supervisor’s Office, PO Box 658, Dannemora, NY 12929.

A New N.Y.: A Blueprint to Reform Government

On December 11, 2008 Attorney General Andrew M. Cuomo announced a plan to empower communities across the state with the ability to fundamentally reorganize and consolidate local governments. In May, the Attorney General, after working with various groups, citizens and the Legislature, announced legislation, entitled The New N.Y. Government Reorganization and Citizen Empowerment Act ("Empowerment Act").

The Empowerment Act received overwhelming bi-partisan support and was passed by both house of the Legislature in June.  The Governor recently signed the bill into law. You can find out more about how the Empowerment Act works on this site:

*Accepting donations:  Good condition clothing, food - non-perishable, household supplies &  toiletries, knickknacks, toys, small household appliances (in good working condition) such as coffee makers, toasters, irons, small microwaves & linens.
 
**Rural Transportation Program
Rural Transportation is geared toward seniors who are no longer able to drive or have no transportation. JCEO links seniors to volunteers who are willing to provide transportation to necessary medical appointments throughout the area.  We are always in need of volunteer drivers.
